Weekly Painting Week 31- Tenacious Tree

The tree is over forty years old, I think. It has survived harsh winters and deep freezes. But what is really impressive is the crabapples that hang on even in the coldest weather. Painting snow uses almost as many colors as painting water. I used a little viridian with umber and red to contrast the red apples better. And here I present, my Mom’s tree. 🙂 Click on the photo to see actual size crabapples.
